ACCOUNTANT

POSITION OVERVIEW

Our client is a well-established engineering and electrical solutions organization with a strong footprint across East and Central Africa. With decades of industry experience, the organization delivers end-to-end electrical, power, and renewable energy solutions to commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects. The seek to engage the services of and accountant to support day-to-day financial operations, reporting, and statutory compliance while gaining structured exposure to accounting, controls, and financial management.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare and post accounting entries, journals, and reconciliations
• Assist in preparation of monthly management accounts and reports
• Process supplier invoices, payments, and bank reconciliations
• Support tax compliance (VAT, PAYE, withholding tax)
• Maintain accurate financial records and audit trails
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cost control activities
• Participate in internal and external audit processes

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• A minimum of CPA Part IV
• 2–4 years relevant accounting experience
• Strong numerical and analytical skills
• Knowledge of Kenyan tax and accounting regulations
• High integrity and attention to detail
• Proficiency in accounting systems and MS Excel
