Branch Supervisor

BRANCH SUPERVISOR

ROLE PURPOSE

The Branch Supervisor will oversee the daily operations of the minimart, ensuring excellent customer service, efficient staff management, proper inventory control, and overall branch profitability. The role requires a proactive and hands-on leader with strong organizational and people management skills to drive branch performance and uphold company standards.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

🛒 Store Operations

  • Manage day-to-day activities of the minimart to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
  • Ensure the branch meets sales targets, operational goals, and customer satisfaction standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and customer-friendly shopping environment.

👥 Staff Management

  • Supervise, train, and motivate staff to deliver excellent customer service.
  • Prepare work schedules and ensure adequate staffing levels for all shifts.
  • Monitor staff performance and conduct appraisals, coaching, and disciplinary action where necessary.

📦 Inventory & Stock Control

  • Oversee stock ordering, receiving, storage, and display in the minimart.
  • Monitor inventory levels to avoid stock-outs or overstocking.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely replenishment and adherence to quality standards.

💰 Financial Management

  • Manage cash handling processes, daily reconciliation, and safe banking of cash.
  • Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly sales and operations reports.
  • Monitor and control branch expenses to maximize profitability.

📣 Customer Service

  • Handle customer complaints and queries promptly and professionally.
  • Promote a culture of excellent service and build strong customer relationships.

✅ Compliance & Standards

  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and hygiene standards in all areas.
  • Enforce company policies, procedures, and operational standards.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or related field.
  • 3+ years’ experience in retail supervision or management, preferably in a supermarket or minimart environment.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Solid understanding of inventory management and POS systems.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism.
