We are seeking to recruit an experienced and strategic Manager – Presales to lead a high-performing presales function in Nairobi. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in bid management, client engagement, and solution positioning, with the ability to bridge business and technology to deliver winning proposals.
This role is suited for a confident communicator and technical strategist who thrives in leading cross-functional collaboration and inspiring a team to excellence.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and manage the presales team, providing direction, mentorship, and technical support to drive new business acquisition.
- Coordinate and oversee bid management, ensuring the timely preparation of high-quality, compliant, and competitive proposals.
- Participate in external bids and presentations, providing technical and strategic input throughout the sales process.
- Respond to RFPs, product demos, and client presentations, delivering compelling value propositions.
- Organize product demonstrations, benchmarks, and proof-of-concepts (PoC) to showcase solution capabilities.
- Develop and maintain a repository of proposals, concept notes, presentations, case studies, and client references.
- Vet and review proposals, EOIs, and other project documentation to ensure quality and alignment with business strategy.
- Support the sales team with pricing models, technical inputs, and market insights for client opportunities.
- Drive innovation in presales processes to enhance productivity, documentation, and overall efficiency.
- Provide on-call and ad hoc support to sales teams across global markets.
- Report presales performance metrics and achievements to senior management.
- Support marketing by developing case studies, technical content, and client success stories.
- Understand project economics and assist in preparing financial models and cost estimates.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Proven experience leading a Presales team in a technology-driven environment.
- Strong background in bid management, solution architecture, and client engagement at executive levels.
- Experience handling Middle East and African clients preferred.
- Excellent ability to translate technical capabilities into business value.
- Strong problem-solving, prioritization, and presentation skills.
- Outstanding communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Confident in delivering presentations, facilitating workshops, and leading client discussions.
Salary 295,000 per month
