Sales Executive – Computers & Accessories

Our client - a retailer in Nairobi’s computer equipment and accessories sector, delivering quality products and professional service to individual and business customers is looking Sales Executives.

POSITION OVERVIEW

As a Sales Executive, you'll be on the frontlines of customer interactions—helping shoppers find the right solutions, building lasting client relationships, and driving store performance.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Welcome and assist walk-in clients with a friendly, knowledgeable approach.
• Understand customer needs and recommend appropriate computers and accessories.
• Demonstrate products, highlight their benefits, and explain technical features clearly.
• Meet and exceed daily and monthly sales targets.
• Upsell and cross-sell complementary products (e.g., warranty services, software).
• Create brand awareness around company’s offerings and promotions.
• Maintain attractive and orderly product displays and inventory levels.
• Process transactions accurately via point-of-sale (POS) systems; manage cash and receipts securely.
• Handle customer inquiries, follow up on leads, and resolve issues.
• Foster repeat business through excellent after-sales service and client follow-up.
• Report sales data and insights to management for strategic decision-making.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum KCSE certificate; diploma or degree in business, IT, electronics, or related discipline is a plus.
• Experience in retail or B2C technology sales is highly desirable.
• Comfortable discussing tech specs in simple terms for varied customers.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Goal-oriented with a drive to exceed targets.
• Basic tech knowledge—computing hardware and accessories, with a passion to learn more.
• Meticulous attention to detail, especially in transaction handling and stock control.
• Team player with a problem-solving mindset.
