SOMMELIER

POSITION OVERVIEW

Our client is a vibrant retail brand that combines supermarket, pharmacy, deli, and liquor store services under one roof. They are seeking a Sommelier to join our liquor store team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in wines and spirits, excellent customer service skills, and a passion for helping customers discover the right bottle for every occasion.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Guide customers in selecting wines, spirits, and related products based on their preferences and needs.
• Provide expert advice on wine varieties, food pairings, and tasting notes.
• Support in-store wine tastings, promotions, and customer education events.
• Manage product displays, stock arrangement, and ensure correct pricing.
• Maintain accurate inventory through stock rotation, checks, and reporting.
• Support front-line customer experience and cashiering duties to deliver seamless service
• Promote new arrivals, exclusive labels, and seasonal offers.
• Uphold high standards of presentation, cleanliness, and compliance within the liquor store section.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Certificate/Diploma in Hospitality, Sales, or related field preferred.
• At least 2 years’ experience in a wine retail, hospitality, or fine dining environment.
• Formal wine knowledge or sommelier training is a strong advantage.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Knowledge of wine brands, regions, and food pairing principles.
• Reliable, professional, and able to work flexible shifts (evenings/weekends).
